The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown

9700575mDan Brown must be one of the most popular authors at the moment, with several of his novels becoming hit movies over the past few years.  His soon-to-be-released novel, The Lost Symbol, is a follow-up to his bestseller The Da Vinci Code, which sold over 81 million copies worldwide.

This novel has been a strange and wonderful journey. Weaving five years of research into the story’s 12-hour timeframe was an exhilarating challenge. Robert Langdon’s life clearly moves a lot faster than mine. – Dan Brown

Like his previous novels, The Lost Symbol follows the adventures of Robert Langdon during a 12-hour period which compiles more than 5 years worth of research collected by Dan Brown himself.

If you are looking for a gift for somebody who is a fan of Brown’s previous books, or a general fan of reading fiction then I would highly recommend taking a look at this book.  If you are from the UK, it is currently available to pre-order (release date is 15th September 2009) from Play.com for just £9.49 with free delivery!
